Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell would like to become majority leader again next year during the midterm election, and the Kentucky Republican believes he has found one GOP candidate who will help him achieve his objective.

That would be former collegiate and NFL great Hershel Walker, who announced earlier this year he will take on incumbent Sen. Rafael Warnock for the latter’s U.S. Senate seat in Georgia.

And it just so happens that McConnell’s choice of endorsement is the same one made by former President Donald Trump, who backed Walker shortly after his announcement.
