Opening with a shot of the battle-worn hero sitting in the rain, the trailer begins with narration from Peter (Tom Holland), who explains to Michelle (Zendaya), “Ever since I got bit by that spider, I’ve only had one week where my life has felt normal – That was when you found out”, hinting at a supposed rationalization for his previously revealed desire to re-hide his identity in the wake of the closing moments of Spider-Man: Far From Home.

However, it appears that Peter – as seen in the previous teaser trailer – interrupts the spell undertaken by Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to accomplish this goal, kickstarting the film’s multiverse-centric plot.
“When you botched that spell where you wanted everyone to forget that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, we started getting some visitors,” Strange tells Spidey in reference to the subsequent appearance of past cinematic Spider-foes. “From every universe.”
